The second would be conference. Classes were great. There were three speakers in particular that I thoroughly enjoyed and plan on imparting their words of wisdom in three different blog posts just so we can all have a chance to get inspired and learn something new.
The first speaker I would like to mention is Sarah M. Eden. She is a master in the genre of historical romance and just a wonderful person either way you look at it. I think it would be fun to have her as a guest author on this website. I had the opportunity to read one of her books Seeking Persephone. I haven't had a chance to review it on amazon or goodreads yet, but it's on my my list of things to do. It would be great to have her as a guest author. I've never done anything like that before so we shall see. www.sarahmeden.com
I simply cannot end without talking about the book I bought from my good friend Donna Hatch. I mentioned her in a recent post about how she was one of two people to turn me on to joining ANWA. She just finished another novel in The Rogue Hearts Series. I pretty much read it during any breaks I had at the conference and finished it in a day. Loved it. I will be posting a review about this wonderful, historical romance just as soon as I find some time.
You need to read this one first. It is the first in the series, and visit her website at www.donnahatch.com
The conference helped me refocus and recharge those writing batteries of mine. I suddenly realized that there are several things I want to start working on, one of which is a romantic comedy that I wrote for a dear friend of mine a while back and simply need to rewrite and revise it before turning it into a fun romantic novella. Stay tuned for that one. I haven't decided what the title will be yet, but once it hits me it will be brilliant, of course. LOL!
Happy quote for the day:
"Success is a finished book, a stack of pages each of which is filled with words. If you reach that point, you have won a victory over yourself no less impressive than sailing single-handed around the world."
